Hello. Forum members.
Its time for me to change my car and I thought it would be very helpful to hear some of the opinions from you guys.

I am currently driving S2000, and I want to change my car to either M3 or 335i or 335xi. My price range for this time is 40k max.

Its understandable that I would have to buy used one, but I am sure I can find something nice. :)

I love my S2000, but I find myself that I need more spaces in my car.

Which car would you guys prefer within my price range?

Thank you

or FAIL for posting this in the e21 section.

You can buy 40 e21's for $40,000. That is my vote.

Not only is this the wrong section, your topic should be in the General section.

I do have a car that I can sell you for 39k...you can keep the other thousand.

Beyond that, good luck finding an e90 or e92 335 for sale used. They can be had, I'm sure, but not for under $40k currently. So that is out. The M3 would have to be an e46 M3. You should be able to get an early one for under $40K, but those have motor issues that BMW may or may not have addressed. If you are limited to $40k, that is going to be your best bet.

Going from a S2K to one of these will be a wake up call for you, especially if you drive in any weather. The S2K has no torque (under 170 ft/lbs) where these BMW's you are looking at have over 250 ft/lbs each, the 335 over 300 ft/lbs. You will be spinning the tires on a regular basis unless you never switch off the traction control. Not trying to tell you not to get one of these, but be prepared for the stark differences in engine output (and the lack of throttle feel from the cable-less throttle).
