T56 Impala 02-20-2008, 10:14 AM Both the e38 and the e66 were lease returns out of Boca Raton Florida. I bought both of them at Perillo BMW in Chicago. Both cars were shipped to Chicago AFTER I requested them via the BMWUSA CPO locator program.
burn740i 02-20-2008, 10:37 AM I bought my car in Rhode Island. It was sold originally at Inskip BMW, and then again at Inskip as a CPO. I bought it from a complete asshole and the worst dealership I have ever see, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. I should have gone anywhere but where I bought it, but I was in love and couldn't let it go :luvlove
Hey stockbottomend, my car wasn't even born yet when yours was first sold. Mine was manufactured on 11/24/98 and first sold on 2/27/99.
dophineh 02-20-2008, 10:38 AM Mine was sold in Houston in 98. Then it moved to New Hampshire in 2006. Sold to me in August 2007. :)

Did you buy it in NH?
wilk187 02-20-2008, 11:54 AM My car was born in 3/2000, sent to a dealer in chicago (can't remember the name off hand), then traded in to BMW of Westmont (chicago suburb) in 2005. That's where we fell in love and moved in togther in Indianapolis..hehe
dophineh 02-20-2008, 12:30 PM Did you buy it in NH?
Nope. The previous owner bought it in NH and moved just north of Boston.
He bought it from a dealer. I bought it from him. Craigslist FTW!
fermunky 02-20-2008, 12:31 PM Mine was bought brand new in SoCal, and then they moved to Tampa, then I bought it.
crewdog843 02-20-2008, 12:34 PM Mine is a Palm Springs car as well (fairly affluent SoCal community)...purchased at a Ferrari/Maserati dealership in Costa Mesa. Sometimes I feel like calling the gomer who owned it previously and ask him how the Motorola StarTac CPT telephone works now. One of the two kept it when they sold the car, along with the Owner's Manual.
At least they took care of the car otherwise....It's at 73K and still running very, very well.
This is the first picture I saw of her from the dealer: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g22/Crewdog843/740irr.jpg

likedatyall 02-21-2008, 12:54 AM My '98 740i was first purchased by me and is in my garage 180k+.
TheStigg 02-21-2008, 01:00 AM My 92 was leased to the original "owner" from a dealer less than a mile from my house as the crow flies. I'm the 4th or 5th owner & bought it in 99 with 131k miles & a huge stack of service records. Put in the 5-spd 4 years ago at 161k. I have 180k miles on it now. No plans to replace it anytime soon & hope to get started on the 745i turbo transplant soon. It's been in Albuquerque its whole life.
STOCKBOTTOMEND 02-21-2008, 01:50 AM just reading all of this its weird where our cars have been and where they end up
