I'm picking up a one owner 1996 740iL from out of state. The CarFax comes back as having standard maintenance (including regular wash and details) and the photos show an incredibly pristine 740 inside and out! The car has just shy of 100k on the clock and the price is less than $6,000.00 I owned a sweet 1997 and am familiar with most of the quirky little problems that tend to arise, but can't help being suspicious of a big problem that isn't apparent on initial inspection. The price I'm paying for the car in the pics and the carfax just seems too good to be true. Does anyone have any advice as to what to look for before I take possession?

6k for a reasonably maintained 96 is not that far off.

It is on the cheap end for sure, but not unheard of by any means.
