Here you go fellas. I keep searching for 16" ones for my E30 and all I can find are ones for E21s!!!
Maybe I should buy an e21!
blitzed310 02-19-2008, 02:54 PM Those are fakes. The wheels are all bent, scratched and cracked. Those center caps are just rattle can caps with alpina stickers on them. I would not waste my time with these if I were any of you :shifty

Do I detect a sarcastic, but interested bidder? They look damn fine to me.
jchristians 02-19-2008, 03:48 PM ooo. i am gonna win those babies.

I concur. These wheels are very low performance, non-period correct, and an attrocity to BMW owners everywhere. I would use them as a hip new grill for the charcoal weber I have in the backyard before I put them on my car.

Its not my fault you're not evaluating the ad for the obvious scam this guy is pulling. Go ahead and bid on it, free will is awesome!

Free will is almost as awesome as freedom of speech.
NHskibm 02-19-2008, 05:38 PM Whomever gets these I want to see some pictures!!!
And I'm glad I could help you all out with these horrible, horrible, rims.
gbaypkrs 02-19-2008, 10:41 PM I was hoping the wheels would not be advertised. any guess on how much the winning bid will be. closest too without out going over wins.
fullswing 02-19-2008, 10:41 PM get e21bimmer320i back in here so he can call these wheels POS's.... those are FUGLY!

Average price is $900-$1100
New from W&N was ~$1200, probably higher now with the USD in the crapper. Plus shipping from Germany.
Edit: I just realized all 4 are claimed to be 7in wide. This means they aren't quite an original set. If I were a collector looking at these, that would devalue them in my eyes, despite that the performance would actually be marginally better. I would be expecting a perfectly matched set for what these things normally cost.
gbaypkrs 02-20-2008, 12:10 AM too rich for me. I guess I will go after imposter wheels.
jjgbmw323 02-20-2008, 12:10 AM EBAY.DE has them, the real things. Dont be fooled.
They have BBS and ALPINA rims.
And I have 3 pairs of BBS rims, BBS Marhle staggered 15.6.5, and 15 x7, BBS RA 15 x7, and BBS RMs soon to 15 x 7.5 and 15 x 8. I have no interest in these wheels.
Kevin E21 02-20-2008, 01:00 AM Please do buy an e21 Howard. We need more local e21's!

If these are not authentic Alpina wheels can you provide some details on what you guys noticed riight off in the listing that caused your suspicion? :help
Most of the Alpina "style" wheels I have seen for sale do not have the Alpina name forged into the center like these. I have to be honest, if these are fakes I was fooled when I briefly looked at them last night (before this thread was posted).
Any tips on what to look for when it comes to make sure what you are buying are bona fide Alpina wheels?
I have contacted Walloth & Nesch, but they just have 13" in stock right now. Hopefully I will hear back from Albrecht if & when 15" are available again. Having purchased other Alpina items from them I know what I am getting is the real deal.
Real Deal

undastan 02-20-2008, 06:11 AM It does have ALPINA forged in the metal.. Id get them. I aint rich enough though. I have 13's and would love 15's. Real or clones.
blitzed310 02-20-2008, 11:37 AM :rofl
jimdemonic 02-20-2008, 11:54 AM +1 it's wrong but so funny
NHskibm 02-20-2008, 12:00 PM Alpina rims for an E30 are $3200 new from KSK-alpina.com which if you contact Alpina is THE alpina US resource. Check out their site, you can order new ones if you like, I don't know what E21 rims go for.
You are also able to order individual rims. For the E30 you can get a staggered set and a non-staggered set. They have always been sold both ways to my knowledge. The iX, which I have a set on (used for $1800 with rubber) is all four the same. Even Alpina's iX was the same dimensions all around.
As Kevin knows although I am fond of his e21 and would love one myself I don't know much about them being an E30 guy at this point. I couldn't comment on Alpina's specs for their E21 but I would guess that non-staggered does not mean they are not real.
Look pretty damn real to me. Otherwise that is a HUGE patent violation for some idiot making copies (which I very much doubt). The way we tell real alpinas for an e30 usually deals with the markings, the centercaps, the size, and the spoke count.
Anyways, I know if I had an E21 I wouldn't have posted the link as I would have wanted these myself. Wish I wasn't unemployed at the moment as I'd buy them anyways and hold them until I bought an E21.
Layne 02-20-2008, 12:07 PM Of course they ARE real people! Geez. They are 4 rear wheels however. Maybe the original owner ordered them that way, maybe they got mixed up later. For my money it's a problem, but I'm nutty about those details. Unless you have a real Alpina they aren't correct anyway so it doesn't matter. It's up to the buyer.
blitzed310 02-20-2008, 12:10 PM OMG you people are so gullible. That was a completely sarcastic remark I made. How do you not know I was joking :eyecrazy
Kind of hard to believe they are fake when ALPINA is cast right into the wheel.
And the average price of these wheels (15x7) without tires should top out at $1000. IMO having a staggered set should not cost any more or any less. And if you buy from KSK, you should lite fires with $100 bills, they are clearly taking advantage of people since they became the sole distributer to Alpina in the US.

gotta love the internet! not getting sarcasm from type, who'd of thunk it!
Yeah ksk is INSANELY priced. Hence why just about daily I'm on ebay looking for alpina rims and MHW tail lights.
It is amazing to me that used E21 Alpina rims should top out at $1000. E30's go for plenty more than that!
Maybe I should think about that E21 sooner!
blitzed310 02-20-2008, 12:55 PM Thats just the trend these days. I got my (4) 15x7 Alpina's with only about 5k original miles on them with brand new Pirelli tires (still with stickers) for $1200. Technically I got them for free since I somehow managed to have a gf pay for them :devillook
NHskibm 02-20-2008, 01:12 PM wow and wow.
my gf is a dentist and there will be no $1200 rims for me!
Layne 02-26-2008, 12:03 PM They sold last night for $1575. How do you like them apples?
NHskibm 02-26-2008, 03:13 PM As an E30 guy that sounds about right. I paid $1800 for mine with crappy rubber (Falken).
