No affiliation, no way, not by a long shot. At least it's from a 320is - but $1300 has to a typo.

Here is the same seller with a $40 version:

Obviously I don't get it. Is there a significant hp gain with an 02 turbo whl? Are you besieged by hawt women if you own one? Does it protect the car with an invisible force field? Why the price difference?

he probably meant $13.00 or maybe $130 if he doesn't know what he's selling.

the 40 dollar one is the exact same one as the 1300 dollar one... weird...

One is a real 2002 turbo wheel, one is a 320is wheel. Laymen can't tell the difference, but laymen don't own 2002 turbos. Here's what the seller has to say about it
"Hello, I should say yes they look a like both 38mm in diameter but the difference comes to the refinement on the 2002 turbo wheels. The first apparent difference is the horn button (turbo has flat hub cover) and than the hub itself is different and also hub plastic cover has a unique design. And of course the most distinguished difference is in the numbers. Turbo wheels have always #838 on the back verses this other model only shows #38. The same situation has been repeated by BMW once again on M1 cars steering wheels (worth more than 4k) and E24 euro M635i (worth around 1k). Apparently few small details change the value a lot on these items. Thanks for the question"
I call BS on the e24 comment, but I'll take a grand for mine any day if anyone's interested.

I just got a response when i asked him if he was crazy!
Dear jimdemonic,
Jim thank you for question, yes numbers are right, this is one of few items that are no longer being offered by BMW and considering the shape and condition of it I think its priced fair. I do have this other one non turbo right now going on ebay you may want to look at it, it looks a like but I dont think you would have to pay top dollar for it.

Wonder what a new unused one would fetch. There has to be one lying in a dusty box on a forgotten parts shelf somewhere....?
