So, had an issue with my '95 525i. Got it resolved with help from you guys. However, one of the responses was to check the running voltage using the OBC. I did my search and found how to do it. Press 1000 and 10 together and it will go into "test" mode, which it did. Press 1 nine times and then press S/R. When I press the S/R it takes it out of the test mode and shows the clock. In fact, I tried 1-27 or so and only 2 or 3 times did it actually show something (can't recall what they were).
I pressed 100 and 1 together just for gits and shiggles and it showed "5-01 TYP" No clue what that means.
Anywho, anyone have any notion of some other way to check the things that I should be able to check with the OBC in test mode?

Sounds like it's locked!
How to lock and unlock the OBC:
===============================
To unlock the OBC, first press the date key, and add the month and day together. So, if the date is displayed as "0704", the result is "11".
Go to test 19 by pressing the 1000 and 10 buttons together, and then typing in the test number (19)·
You will see the word "LOCK" displayed. Type in the result from step 1 above, and press S/R·
If you display test 19 again, it will now display "FREI", indicating the system is now unlocked.
To lock the system again, go to test 19, and press the little button on the top left hand corner of the OBC (F/C).

^^^^ditto^^^^ But since today is 02:16...the "magic" number to enter (TODAY) when you go to TEST 19 would be to enter "18" which is 2+16=18 (month+date= OBC unlock number)
Or you can "unintentionally" relock the OBC when you remove power from the car by disconnecting a battery cable! :D But until you relock it using TEST 19 or removing power...the OBC will remain unlocked and all of the TESTs can be accessed anytime you press the 1000 & 10 buttons. ;)
