View Full Version : To The e21 community
Broly238 02-16-2008, 12:40 PM Hey guys, e21bimmer320i was just banned for his... inability to follow rules. However, he made it clear that he will continue to keep re-registering. So if he posts (which it should be obvious its him) please send me a PM or just report his post... Sadly, we do not have the powers to ban mac addresses, so this is the situation. Thank you in advance...
Peace out homies.
jimdemonic 02-16-2008, 12:46 PM :lol
uberpanzer 02-16-2008, 12:53 PM ...what did he do this time? Link to thread(s)?
jimdemonic 02-16-2008, 12:59 PM I looked up his Name and really didn't see anything.
uberpanzer 02-16-2008, 01:06 PM May have been towed or deleted. :(
Also could just be that someone complained about something we already knew about and had passed it off as him being...him.
jimdemonic 02-16-2008, 01:10 PM he was doing better .....I thought. Oh well
adamalexander 02-16-2008, 01:32 PM :( I have a feeling I missed out on a sweet thread
and the sweet drama that went with it:silly

my engine s definatley blown. i have a couple questions about 1.8 compared to 2.0. my car is a 79 with the 2.0 in it. there is a 1.8 that i can have. i was wondering if i could bolt up my manifolds and off of the 2.0 head onto the 1.8 head that way i do not have to deal with chaning any of the sensors or anything like that. thanks for you help.
And I thought my car was a piece of dogshit...
im guessing that had to do something with it.
DrewDude320i 02-16-2008, 02:52 PM probably just his repeated rude and useless comments on everyone's problem threads. Like calling a car who'se engine roasted at 99k miles "dog poo" (in a more harsh way) and his turkey baster idea.
jimdemonic 02-16-2008, 03:29 PM Turkey Baster..... That reminds me of a time,my buddy got some blow and his girlfriend and a turkey baster.......... and well he's in prison now.
blitzed310 02-16-2008, 05:00 PM I for one will not miss that guy.
This is what happens when people who have not hinging to contribute to technical threads but negative responses. There is nothing wrong with not knowing how to fix things, but to repeatedly say stupid useless things to people who are asking for advice gets old really fast, and you loose respect from members. I like to think our little forum here has a high value of respect amongst us and I appreciate that. If you don’t know how to respond in a technical thread then just stay out or contribute in that thread by asking follow up questions to what is being discussed. There are times when we joke around with each other, and there are times when people need serious responses. Knowing when and when not to act accordingly is what keeps your forum pass valid.
e21gangsta 02-16-2008, 05:01 PM its about time he's banned
Big John 02-16-2008, 05:51 PM To be honest though guys, I hardly didn't expect this to happen sometime. As CJ said, the opportunity to be part of a community where you can all share a common goal to do up or restore, repair and part out :D e21s. If you continuously make serious negative comments about people and their cars. In a community that is built on the fact that we like E21's, theres not a lot of room for you there. I know I would never call someones car a POS. Because unless its rusted to the ground, these things have potential :). Which is why i'm proud to own two.
Drive on Bimmerheads. Drive on
Cerpin TaxT 02-16-2008, 06:23 PM I for one will not miss that guy.

It wasn't long ago where we had a similar problem with another member (Bryce, CJ, Matt and other Old Skool members know who I am refering to :D) and we did exactly what Bryce suggested, we ignored him. Eventually he stopped posting.
Just report the troll and he will eventually go away. In the mean time, my E21Legion Friends, I leave you with LOL WUT Pear.

Yonkers320is 02-16-2008, 07:05 PM it seems I have been away for too long, i missed a lot. I don't know why some new members have to be rude and disrespectful. I know some people here are a little abusive with the replies but we kind of know each other from long time, but just naming people or other's people cars dog poo with out knowing them is effed up; Broly will ban your ass!!!
Layne 02-16-2008, 07:14 PM I like to think our little forum here has a high value of respect amongst us and I appreciate that.
It seems to have declined lately but this should be a step in the right direction.
What on earth is the LOL WUT pear? Ok ok, I can see what it is but why? And how is it relevant?

It's been circulating through the Off Topic forum a lot lately - they've even made a Spanish version ("LOL QUE?!") but I don't know where it comes from
Layne 02-16-2008, 07:25 PM I guess I should make a russian one "ЛОЛ ЧТО?" hahah
Broly238 02-16-2008, 10:07 PM For those of you who are confused as to why he was banned. He was a pain in the ass... flat out. People had a problem with him, when I tried to nicely address it to him, a simple "please cut it out". He would either say hes very sensitive, or in the last instance, tell me to fuck off.
Ever since I first registered, this was a strong e21 community. It was small back then, but the mutual respect among one another was very comforting because no matter how ugly your car was, or how much you knew, people would always be nice. When I came here, I didnt know how to change my oil. But my thirst for knowledge kept me going, and no matter how stupid the questions, I always got a nice response.
It has only grown, granted there have been some minor problems as of late with some new people. But it is nothing this community has fallen short of overcoming. e21bimmer320i was banned, because he didn't contribute, and it seemed he held grudges against minor comments from other members. That is not what this community needed. He didn't respond well to warnings, and never changed.
Now normally, I wouldn't make a post about why someone was banned. but I felt I owed it to you guys that everyone of you were informed on the situation. You guys are a great community, much respected. I appreciate it. :)

Sorry, that was the first thing that came to mind when I read your post Bryce.
I completely agree with you. When I first joined I was clueless. Over time, I have created awesome friendships with many Legion members. The B-Fest crew is like a second family that I am very fortunate to have been accepted into, and anyone that conflicts needs to be removed.
uberpanzer 02-17-2008, 12:32 AM ...you ARE parking your torque steering turbo in the overflow lot if you decide to show this year, right? :stickoutt
j/k man, since you better be there unless you do have something else important happening. Even without you being behind the wheel of an e21 we would still want you there. We know you like the cars, just doesn't fit your current lifestyle.
And thanks for the explanation Broly. Not unexpected, I just wasn't sure if he had done something in particular recently to warrant it. As much as some of us may NOT have wanted a moderator back when it happened, most all of us appreciate what you do with us, for us, and how you treat us (like this thread :D).

You know, I wanted TRQ STER for my vanity plate, but it was taken. :(
I made a bargain with the devil and will be coming up in a certain gray market 323i.
ragman 02-17-2008, 09:36 AM There once was a guy named Bob,
Who on the Bimmer forum did blog.
But the stuff that he wrote,
made him sound like a dope.
Alas poor Bob is banned!
Aufweidersehn Bob!
BoostedE21 02-17-2008, 03:14 PM IS this thread of an importance? :stickoutt
Anyways, i dont think anyone will miss him. He was rude and not helpful. we arent missing a thing
jimdemonic 02-17-2008, 03:29 PM missing what thing?
Cerpin TaxT 02-17-2008, 03:59 PM IS this thread of an importance?:stickoutt
You still post here? :shifty
TheBestCow 02-17-2008, 08:23 PM im guessing that had to do something with it.
I definitely flagged that post.
I think it is sad. The guy is either bi-polar ("overly sensitive") or just a jerk. There was no need for a lot of it.
I still don't know anything about these cars. That means I should be quiet and respectful to the members (other reasons aside) and try to get help.
Ah, well. Another chapter in the Legion book.
