coming down scripps poway i got stuck behind a yukon, and in an attempt to get around it and the other SUV in the far left hand lane i moved to the right just before a light, hoping the car stopped would be a bit faster. the light turned and the subaru took off, getting about 2 CLs and i decided to follow, upon passing the SUVs i changed into the far left lane and pass the wrx, i assume at this point he slowed down intentionally because i was able to get about 4 CLs. unfortunately the run was cut short by a blue meanie, though both of us were able to break fast enough to not get his attention. upon coming to the enxt light we exchanged thumbs up and went our seperate ways. al

i assume you mean the regular WRX and not the STI?

wrx or sti either way you are not a contender

wrx maybe, sti definitely no. i'm sayin' wrx maybe cause he could've been a crappy driver, then again i was able to "hang" with a wrx in a b18c eg hatch with basic bolt-ons. sti definitely no, because well, everyone knows. even with a crappy driver..its a no.

im sure if it was an STi the OP would have stated so. the wrx def. let off. probably just taking off from the light spiritedly.

even if it weren't an sti i probably couldnt have beaten it had he been trying, still fun though.

He slowed down. If it were a new yukon, it would probably be more of a match than an wrx

people can call all the BS they want

but the regular stock WRX is slower than a Civic EX after 80 or so mph

I dont know WTF, I know their gearing is sad, I can swear to you a friend with an auto EX civic was dead even with one back in the day

with my Sr20det 240sx stock for stock on the highway pulls I would decimate a WRX

they aren't the best up top stock, but a 525 is fawking SLOW
