Alright time to sell my car. The reason for sale is because I just bought a Supra so I no longer need this car and I am also looking for a house. All those who have met me know I am a honest seller and you can come check out the car before purchase. I have taken very good care of the car and it has given me zero problems.

Here is the stats:
1995 BMW M3
Exterior : Cosmos Black
Interior : Black
Miles : 175K
Clean Title in hand

Mods and Maintenance :
Suspension Dynamics Springs
Short Shifter
ASA 18x8in Wheels.
Limited Slip Diff (3.23)
In dash OE CD (Business) and 6 CD changer in trunk
Trailing Arm Bushings (polyurethane)
Radiator at 160k
Rear Shock Mounts at 160k
New Drive Shaft at 160k
NGK Iridium plugs
Axis Ultimates Brakes
Khumo Ecsta Tires
Tinted windows
Always changed with Amsoil Euroblend Oil at 3k.
Will throw in a extra change of oil + filter for the next owner.

Price:
Alright I have 2 prices. One with, and one without wheels. If sold without wheels you have to bring a set of wheels so I can pull them off.
$8,000 w/ Wheels
$7,500 w/o Wheels

The bad:
The car was involved in a accident. If you pull the Vin it will NOT show up on carfax. The reason I know this is because I ran a carfax a month ago. But I am being completly honest, it has been in a accident on the drivers side. It got scrapped all along the drivers side of the car. It was repaired but started to wave after 5 months only on the rear quarter panel. I took pics of it so you can see it. The only other thing is the passenger side window switch is bad (I know b/c I switched them the Drivers and Passenger and it started to work.) That is all I can think of on the car. Let me know if you have any questions.

8k for a wrecked E36?!!

Title is clean. So it is not 8k for a salvaged M3 if that is what you are implying. I do apologize if it seems not along your price line but this is what I believe the car to be worth and what I am asking for it.

looks like minor damage, no reason to make the car worth nothing.

I don't wanna knock on ur sale thread though, but It'll be hard for you to get the 8k. But GL on your sale I hope you get it sold, for what you want.

I think my price is fair for what it is. Its going on autotrader Monday.

you may have better luck there, but FYI there is a 95 with a salvage title, due to flood I think, clean body. like 5k I hope you sell but with the body repair needing fixing . I think you may have a little trouble getting 8k. But there is no harm at all in asking 8k and waiting till you get it. and with that I wish you luck.

Guys, $7500-$8000 is a fair price. Seriously, what do you want? It's a M3...do you expect him to leave the keys in it and just let someone take off for free? There are other threads on this board with stuff for sale not even close to what the person is going to get for it but if this sells for less than $7500 that's bullshit.

i simply said 8 seemed a little high, i think 7500 is good, but no lower than 7k.
the clean title is the kicker:) it is clean right?

I realize that 8k seems high but thats asking price or starter price. I hope people understand that it is sort of flexible..... Within reason, as with most starter prices. I am getting pm's from people wanting it for 6k. Which is not going to happen.

as much as you would hate to read this but.....
your car is definately priced accordingly by its milage, but not its condition. E36 market is very interesting right now due to e46 price drops. 2 years ago i had a chance to buy a perfectly maintained, single owner 95 M3 in houston(Katy) with 165,000 for $8500. There is a 95 M3 in austin for $5500 w/ 125k miles right now. There was a Dakar 95 M3 on CL here in dallas recently that went for 3800, it had 202k miles and needed a HG.

I sold my 2 owner 95 M3 w/ 95k on the clock on January 14th of this year for 11.5, but it was in perfect condition and it had few mods and every single receipt dating to day #1. Unfortunately it was totalled last week by its new owner:(

The price you're asking right now is not too high, but not where it should be considering your car's condition. A serious buyer will make an offer to you, it will be up to you if you want to keep the car longer to get more for it and deal with more problems if they arise, or just accept the offer and get rid of it.

EDIT: i'm in the similar boat as you right now, trying to sell my S60, they depreciate like no other, but there are times and places where we make money, and there times when loose it. This happens to be my 2nd time loosing money, only its not as bad as my 1st time. At the end of the day, money can be recovered, a wasted time can not.

I've never understood how one totals a car days within buying it. Well, unless he wasn't at fault.

True.

Unrelated but M3 related. Theres an Autosport article I read about E46 M3 vs E9X M3. Funny thing is, it's not that much better overall. I can scan it in if anyone wants it.

I honestly recommended people to come take a look at it. Its not really that bad. I almost feel like I shot myself in the foot for being a honest seller. I realize that there are some off the wall deals but to be honest they come and go. My price is resonable. As we all know from selling cars your asking price is usually negotiable to a point and I am .... to a point. I am not asking 8k firm and I think thats resonable enough to ask as a starting price. I apologize that I don't want to screw anyone over and thats why I am being very honest b/c I felt that it maybe a key in selling this car.

Actually I bought that Dakar 95 M3 you're talking about off of craigslist... It needed a new head since the head ended up being cracked. It had 204K miles and I ended up buying it for $3000. The condition is definitely rough and I feel I paid what is fair. Honestly for what the thread starter is asking for his car it's not too unreasonable and judging by the pictures it really isn't that bad at all. I'd say I would pay $6500-7K for it.

Sorry to hijack, just thought I'd share my story... lol.

Good luck with the sale man... If you still want to part out, I still want the cams.
