looking for a LSD for my 4.4i...has anyone figured out if the diffs are unique, or like so many other parts are interchangeable with the e39 sedans?

thanks

here is my non informed opinion. X means all wheel drive and as such there are clutchs in the system that will not work with a LSD.

the only place i know of that has them is koala motorsports but you better bring your wallet 3000$ is what i got quoted for just the rear diff.....and youll need a matching front if you were planning on changing ratios.....good luck....

oh and he claims there custom lsd, shims and bearings that they get made and hes built them for a european bmw race team???????

this is not accurate. the one has nothing to do with the other. LSDs are commonly used in awd systems with clutches.
