The time has come to sell my M3... ( I think)... I'm not in a hurry, but with another baby on the way, I probably need to get something more roomy. I want her to go to someone who will love her at least as much as I do. ...I figured this would be the place to find that person...

98.5 M3 Convertible 104K Estoril Blue/Dove grey interior. BEAUTIFUL condition in & out. 3-spoke steering wheel, CD43 head unit, new brakes and rotors, great tires (BFG G Force KDW's), heated power seats, 18 button OBC, Sirius satellite radio, suspension is SOLID. I had all of the control arms, bushings, struts, etc inspected last summer and they were perfect. Never beaten, never modded, BONE stock (except the CD43 unit and satellite).

It has some of the usual minor quirks, but it is a beautiful car that has been VERY well taken care of.

It is currently listed on Craigslist in Atlanta.

If you go there and search for "609168441" it should take you straight to my listing

Thanks,

bbaker

Are you interested in buying the car?

You never answered my question? It sounds like the same car and I took a look at it back then so I was wondering. It had less miles then and the guy was asking quite a bit less.
thanks

Thanks for posting the link. I obviously don't have enough posts to include links.

I'd give you a thumbsup and a smiley, but I can't do that either.

No problem. Good luck with the sale, though it might be tough on here with an auto, most people are looking for 5 speed on the forums.
Good looking car regardless.

I agree. Living in Atlanta, the traffic gets pretty ugly at times, and the auto makes it so much easier. Besides, the car is still awfully fast even with the auto.

I would be interested in trading for a 5 series, but I would want something newer and not a 540...

Thanks for the interest, though.

question still not answered. but a bump for you to find the answer.

My brother was about to buy it then (it had around 90k back then) for $10,500 but he decided not to as the front end was pretty rashed up and the passenger side had been painted/accident. Hence why I wanted to see if it was the same car, I was seriously interested but it seems like he does not want to answer.

I responded, asking if you were interested in buying the car. You clearly weren't, all you did was ask the same question.

I noticed that you have posted replies to other ads criticising their prices, which I understood was against forum rules.

To answer your "questions", it probably is the same car. However, your facts are wrong. He wasn't asking $10,500; That's not what I paid; and WHY would it matter what I paid anyway?

If someone gave me the car for free, would it be worth a different amount? If I paid $30k for it, would it be worth MORE??

Secondly, the car isn't "rashed up". It does have some stone chips on the nose and front edge of the hood, but good luck finding a 10-year-old car in Atlanta that doesn't.

It did have a minor fender bender that showed up on the Carfax (again, not unusual for a 10-year-old car in Atlanta), but the repair work was done by United BMW, and they did a BEAUTIFUL job fixing it.

It's easy for you to throw crap out like this, but it's inaccurate, and it's totally UNCOOL.

How do you know whether I am looking for a car or not? I actually was looking for another BMW as I sold mine a while ago (and just picked my new one up yesterday). I never criticized your price (reread my posts, I was merely asking if it was the same car or not as I was not sure) but he was willing to sell it to me for $10k then. The front end wasn't just the normal rash from what I remember and the paintwork on the passenger side was obvious when I looked at it, I could care less how much you ask for it. I'd rather help out any potential bf buyers then care about whether your upset with me or not.

Your getting defensive about the price when no offense to the such was taken is indicitive. You are right however, you can ask whatever price you want for a car but it seems like you have not sold it for a while.

As to your allegations that "I criticize" other posts prices, I only post in order to help the seller when they are asking what consensually is agreed to being an unsellable price (or in some posts when I know the history of the car or the seller, like yours) and only aim to help out the community. If you had answered my question (which was a legitimate questions since I do not want to bother wasting your time since I've already seen/know the car) then none of these posts would have been made. I was interested in your car until I found out it was the car I had already seen considering your asking price.

Good day :wave

Good Day to you too..

I will say one thing, if the paint work on this car was "obvious" to you, you are amazing.

I took it to Carmax for an appraisal, and their inspector couldn't find any paint work.

While I was able to see it, it was only because I knew ahead of time it was there. I grew up doing body and paint work, and I can usually spot paint work that most people never notice. The repair work that was done on this car is nearly flawless.

But thanks again for your input. I appreciate it.
