Trying to gauge interest, I will certainly sell if I can get about what I owe on it...

2004 330i ZHP (if you don't know what this includes, search on the site, it is a lot of stuff)
Anthracite Gray(I think that's what it's called) exterior
Black Alcantra interior
58,000 miles
6 speed
Nav Unit
Xenon Headlights
Set of winter wheels and tires if desired
Can include a set of Tein coilovers I have yet to install, was waiting for summer

I bought the car in August, searched for it for over 2 months. I got the car still underwarranty, and got the vanos unit replaced, along with some seals associated with the replacement. Got brand new front rotors and pads in early Dec, can provide receipts from BMW dealership of the work. Also got new wipers, not a huge one, but something.

I absolutely love the car, and am unsure if I actually want to sell it, but I got a new job in Dec., and I am now putting more miles on the car than I want to, and I need a bit more size. The paint is in great condition, nothing other than a couple tiny rock knicks in the front of the car.

The car had been a California car all it's life until I brought it to CO in August. It has a clean title, and has been serviced regularly at BMW dealerships until the last 2 months. I just did an oil change about 1,000 miles ago, using BMW synthetic oil.

I can take pics, but I wanted to gauge interest to see if there was much for the car. PM me, and I will take pics. If enough people are interested, I will load them and post them up.

As for a price, KBB and NADA are quite a bit apart, so I am splitting the two...
Looking for $23,000 OBO. I understand I may be dreaming, but I'd rather start a little high, plus it might weed out some lookie-loos from bugging me and then falling off the face of the earth.

Like I said, PM me, and I will get you pics.

sounds like a great car but the e46 market in general is burning right now. 24k can get you a nice e46 M3 you may have to go substantially lower if you do want to move the car.

:rolleyes :rolleyes :rolleyes
I was wondering what was taking so long for people to start on that...

Couple things...

If you want 4 doors that m3 isn't an option(unless you can afford a new one, and then why are you looking at this in the first place?).

Secondly, I put this mysterious clause in the listing...OBO. Let me explain it. It means I am open to offers. You'll also note that I fully understand that my price is on the high side(read the post). So I do appreciate your valuable input, but would appreciate less of it;)

found another party to go in on it, but they will only provide me with another $50 - forward progress!! this is KBB trade money! E46's are falling fast! Lets work a deal!

I agree with SpecialK921... this car is worth sub $18,000.

Sounds like you have a serious Cash Offer at $17,550

What the hell? I didn't realize I was talking to a sleazy used car salesman!

I could take it to the dealer and get that much. Seriously. I've already a dealer offer me 19. Why would I bother with you guys when I could do that?

Again, thanks for your excellent contribution to the thread!

You need to work on your attitude, OP. People are offering constructive criticism about your exorbitant price and you're just being way too defensive.

For a Bimmer Basher, he doesn't take well to others opinions of the market. We all can sympathize with you that you have a deep affection for the car, but darn, if you don't want to take offers for your car, don't put it for sale on a forum where you will get feedback. Put it on eBay w/o a reserve and let the market determine the price. GL with the sale.....

Where to begin...
a) you have no idea what my SN is referring to, but keep assuming. You'll at least make the part about you correct;)

b) I am more than happy to take offers, just not ones $7,000 below what I am hoping for. Again, as I have noted, the price IS OBO, and I may be a little high, but I am darn sure I am not THAT high.

Maybe you haven't been on the forums all that long, but this is a typical FS thread unfortunately. You guys can't just say, "OK, he's a bit high for me, I'll keep looking." No, you need to come in and shit all over the thread. Thanks. Really helps the sale when this is the BS filling up the thread.

You need to work on your attitude, OP. People are offering constructive criticism about your exorbitant price and you're just being way too defensive.

Um, it's not constructive, it's silly, insulting, and about what I expected. It's precisely why I didn't put up pics; I was hoping to weed out a lot of this. Apparently it was only successful for about a week.

I'm really not that defensive, but don't come and insult me and expect me to say "Thanks for that constructive criticism!"

Like I said, if it is too high for your tastes, keep looking. End of story. I obviously don't have to sell, or I would have lowered the price.

They offered me 19K on a trade in. They prob would have given me 21 or 22 at the time to on a buy bid, b/c they could've CPO'd it.

I do appreciate all the free bumps though!:)

19k trade on your car with that mileage is a sweet heart deal. The trade in value is around 17,100 with your options and mileage. I think this car would sell at auction for 18 and change.

you're attitude is pretty horrible.

low ball offers come with the car selling territory. it's all about how you deal with them. being defensive and mocking offers makes you look immature.

consider this a free bump.

Free bump.

Sounds like a nice car, maybe drop the price a little more to 20K-21K or if no rush to sell post it up again in a few months to see if you gets more interest. I think the 17-18K is low balling. Look at auto trader and show me a ZHP in good condition at that price.

Good luck with the sale, were it a coupe I would be interested.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267104 I know its not the same car but its similar and is a good reference as to what a more reasonable asking $$$ could be for your add. Yes you said this was a feeler and thats the ONLY reason I am posting my opinion about your price. If you had this listed as a for sale I would not be putting in my .02 on another persons price.
