Still got a water shortage in NC supposedly (5 months!!),. I don't care though, tommorow I am washing my car with fresh water. I wasted about 5 bucks and an hour of futility trying to wash my car with this recycled water at some public car wash. We aren't supposed to be putting the water in buckets, but I don't trust that soap that comes out of a coin operated car wash.

Turns out the rinse water had suds in it, and when I filled it up half way it appeared dirty even though it was straight from the hose (probably why they don't want you putting it in buckets). I actually tried to put that crap on my car and I think I probably made my car dirtier and paid money for it.

Anyone else have bad experiences with recycled water?

that means that the water probably contains all the dirt that is on the floor of that wash bay, i wouldnt touch my car with that water at all.

Luckily we have never had a water shortage here. I would just wash my car in the garage if we did :)

Go to Walmart, pick up 5 gallons of distilled water (keep your receipt), get a bucket with a GammaSeal lid and grit guard, and do an ONR wash. If an officer tries to give you a ticket, show them the receipt to show you aren't using tap water, and then when you are done washing, seal it up, and that 5 gallons should last you maybe 3-4 washes.
