The pad that came with it? I hope you don't mean that big white thing that screws on! Where did you get your PC? Also, that paint cleaner isn't mean to remove swirls on clear coated paint (which you probably have). It is REALLY mild, and isn't even meant for machine application; hand only.

What you are going to need to do is get a good polish and some pads. Also, there is no point in removing swirls if you can't prevent them, so also what are you using to maintain your car?

The key is to use the least abrassive method in washing/maintaining which means ultra soft terry/cotton towels or microfiber, and don't trust your local retailer for this, rather order some quality towels online. For some reason, I have found that even when buying the exact same brand (Meguiar's foam applicators for example), that when I buy them in stores, regardless of which store, they always have some sort of problem with them, while if I purchase them online, they are always perfect. My guess is that it has something to do with how they ship/handle them.

Autogeek, Meguiar's, and Autopia all have fantastic tutorials on how to care for your car, so check that up. As far as brand goes, simply go for which ever one you feel you would enjoy working with most, as there is no real advantage in the final appearance from brand A to brand B.

Youre using a polishing pad and a paint cleaner to remove swirls. Get a yellow or orange cutting/buffing pad and a compound/swirl remover. Check out autogeek or autopia
