Hi All, I have a 1986/7 M635 csi rhd.It's been apart for years during an over the top restoration that's got out of hand.Reassembly is being held up by annoyances with the front end wiring.Lights,loom etc have been in and out so many times/rerouted etc that it is now getting frustrating and holding up progress.I have the majority of the wiring diagrams at hand and a workshop manual neither of which help much.
The car has the ordinary washer arrangement with twin pumps,intensive washer,heated washer jets and the optional headlight wash/wipe fitted all of which have been refurbished/replaced and function when tested individually. By my own admition I am terrible when it comes to auto electrics.
The problem being at the moment I can not get the headlight washers/wipers to function or the main washer pumps.The intensive works.
The wiring from the loom that comes from behind the lamps into the engine compartment has been broken at some time.
What I am left with is the loom exiting from the lamp area that splits into a y shape,one side of the y is a double brown wire with a black plug(where does this plug go?) and the other side of the y is 2 violet with black traces and a single brown which goes to a white plug.Out of this plug comes a single violet with black trace and a brown which are broken off.Where should these go to?

Now on the main washer pump the loom splits into 3, first split has a blue wire and a white wire with a white plug (assumably the washer pump) 2nd is a violet with black trace (no idea on this one) 3rd wire is brown with a black trace that goes to a plug that seems to have a wire missing (where does this and the missing wire go?) the other side of this plug it turns into a black wire with a black block marked GCS with a brown wire exiting it (any idea where this lot goes?)
Assumably the above mentioned is why the headlamp washers/wipers will not function.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and certainly speed the reassembly up so we can get back on the road before the summer.
