I bought this thinking I could use it with a UUC flywheel and M5 pressure plate, but it is too thick (see pics). Maybe you have something it fits and can gain from my loss. Surface is only slightly scuffed from initial testing. Car was not driven. Sachs P/N 1861 931 034. Cost over $200 new. Yours for $100 shipped to lower 48 states. Paypal accepted.

I have a question wingnut.... I have the UUC flywheel/M5 setup coming that I made a great used deal on but its the race version disk which I don't want. Are disks proprietary to their stuff with UUC flywheels and their pressure plates? Seems odd the sachs won't work.

I did something similar (bought used), however the disc I had was for a 6 speed. So I bought this disc thinking it would work. Even got the BMW P/N off of the UUC website and double checked it against the ETK. What I got was a disc that didn't work. I found out after installing the transmission.... This disc is at least 1/8" thicker than the one I received from UUC with the M5 disc set. It didn't have a Sachs part number on it either. So, I don't really know what's up with the suppliers. I ended up ordering a whole new Stage II setup and selling the E46 set. Now, I know what to look for. If you ordered a disc and it's the same thickness as the one I show for sale here, it probably won't work. Hope this helps.

What I found is that the disks are mated to their pressure plates/flywheels BY thickness and you can't just switch from say, the ultra smooth cerra-metallic disk to the performance organic without getting it with the PP too, which is apparently the same thing you found out. Was a real eye opener for me and if I could use this I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Bump for you and good luck.

Funny thing was, that I ended up buying a brand-new complete flywheel with the (supposed) M5 clutch set. The pressure plate was made in Great Britain, had no other markings on it. The organic disc had no markings on it, had 6 springs (not 4) and was about 1/8" thinner than this one.
