Hi,

Can anyone please help, I have a 1984 BMW 633Csi manual transmission. Sometime ago it suddenly became hard steering to the right, about a week ago, it changed from right to the left .Steering to the right is now fine but steering to the left is hard. The hard steering changes from from right to left.

I have that saem problem now on my 635csi. I had my mechanic get a repair kit for the steering box but to no avial. I had it recehcked and he said that I may have to get a new steering box. Is this the only solution to this or is he looking at the wrong place?
