Looks like an X5 with a redesigned rear 3/4 upper body and more powerful engine options. The 3.0 twin turbo in the X6 gets to 60 just as fast as the non turbo 4.8 V8 in the X5 and the twin turbo 4.4 V8 in the X6 is a hp and torque monster that puts this 5000 lb pig into 335i territory in straight line acceleration. We just bought an X5 4.8, but could not have considered the X6 because we need the cargo space.

I was thinking the same EXACT thing... I actually kept a brochure of the Pontiac Aztec thinking that it's going to be worth something someday - definitely a collector's item for one of the UGLIEST cars/suv's ever built.

the X6 looks much better in person. although, if you don't like the X5, you probably won't like the X6

Actually, I do like the X5...currently in the market and am torn between the 2006 4.8is vs. a new 2008 4.8i - check out my posting and please post opinions!

I did notice that the X6...is ONLY a 4 seater? What's up with that? Sounds like BMW answered a question that no one was asking...
