I just bought these 19" wheels real cheap and the seller made no claims as to who the manufacturer is, but they look like AC Schnitzer wheels to me... Is there any way to tell? There's no brand or logo on them, but they do say "Made in Germany" on the back. Here are a few pics. Thanks in advance.

Also, they have some bends on the inner lips... anybody know whether that's repairable? They're not too bad, but noticeable. The seller said they didn't cause vibration, but who knows... At least one of them is leaking air.

Oh, and btw, the rears are 9.5" wide and the fronts are 8.5".

And what is that arrow that someone has drawn there? Is that a common type of marking for tire shops to denote something? Maybe it was repaired there?

Sup Coupe! :D

Those could be the AC Schnitzer Type 1's, but the way the spokes are, and the fact that there's a lip makes me think otherwise. Also no stamped AC Schnitzer logo suggests they're replicas. Then again, it does say Made In Germany so who knows.. my edumacated guess would be replicas though. Still look good.

As for the arrow; tire shops sometimes mark the wheels for balancing and straightening purposes. The damage is usually repairable but if it's worth it money-wise, that's another question.

What do you plan to do with these?

EDIT: You can also tell by the offset, AC Schnitzer wheels all have very specific offsets.

Thanks guys. Yeah, after doing some more research, I've found that the actual ACS wheels that look similar have the spokes connecting to the outer end of the lip, whereas in my wheels they just connect somewhere closer to the inside of the wheel, leaving a nice lip on the outside. I actually like this design better than the original :) but unfortunately the reps are not worth nearly as much as the originals.

How much do you think these wheels are worth in good condition (if i get the small bends fixed)?

I was planning to put these on my new E38 that I got last week.

RH advertises them as reps but at best they are look-sorta-likes. I looked at them in 17's but the weight was 25#. If you have them trued, balanced and refinnished it'l cost you $600 and you will end up with a set that you can buy new for $1200. It makes little sense to spend $$ on cheap wheels. It took me a couple of months of looking but I found a fairly clean set of genuine ACS TIII's for $900. Add $600 for 1st class work and finnish and I have put $1500 in a set of wheels that sell for $3500. I guess that in the end if you can get them for free you would come out OK but if you like them that much it makes more sense to but new. GH
