Science project, I am debating a 335i coupe or a Z4MC this December. I test drove an S4 (awesome), Porsche Boxster S ($$$$), and an S2K as well as the first 2 BMW's I mentioned. I decided to stay in the BMW family for obvious reasons and am asking opinions. I don't care about anything else but manual 6 speed fun, and that's all I'll use it for. Zero track days but once in a while 100 MPH blasts on the freeway as well as some mountain driving for no reason other than driving up there. I have my 06 Z4 and it is a blast, I love every minute I'm in it, but the next car I get will be a long term relationship. How are your M's holding up, have the 1st to 2nd shift issues been worked out?? I know the 335's oil temp issues as well. I'd like some real feedback from you guys that drive them daily, that's the best info I can get on the net. TIA :)

335 will make tuning cheaper and easier and with very few mods you will be in 400 whp territory, all other cars that you mentioned will take much more work and money

Ok, well...being that i've never had a M3 before I have no referrence. I do however have the 335I and love it. I now am pushing 340ish whp and over 365+ torque. Granted approx. 15 g's have been put into it as of monday. This car is nothing but fun. Even stock from factory the car is pure fun to drive. The twins really kick in and make the car a blast to drive. It will only get better when I have the PSS9's installed this monday. I have a thread which isn't updated yet (but will be shortly) that has my other mods listed.

Get the Boxster S. That's the right choice. You're a sports car guy. The 335i is too soft. Too much luxury. I don't care how fast you make it. Once you own a Porsche you can't go back to BMW, expecially a cushy one. Get the Boxster S.

There's a bunch of guys with "issues" over on the Z4 forum that don't want to admit how great the 335 really is. See if you can arrange an extended test drive of a 335 coupe with 6MT, sport and premium packages - that will settle it for you.

So the thread is officially hijacked. Lets rename it 335i wiper issues........Thanks for the help GatorM
All wiper posts have been moved to a another thread. Hope this helps. In the future don't hesitate to bring this to my attention via a PM or the "report post" icon. I will cleanup as necessary.
