shaggsM3 01-31-2008, 04:30 PM Don't know if this has been posted here or not, but thought it was appropriate considering all that's happened with LS1's over the past year

I know that it is kinda old, but I couldn't find a thread on it, so I posted one
Wow that's nuts! :eyecrazy
That guy has some serious skill to do such a conversion!
JBgotM 02-01-2008, 08:15 AM this is way old dude...he's already wrecked it I heard...
I saw the video where it spun off track, but didn't actually see it hit the wall, and if it touched the wall it certainly wasn't hard.
fritzintn 02-01-2008, 08:21 AM Yup, Travis is insane.
It wasn't wrecked to to speak, but during one of the off road excursions at a drift event it fell into a small ditch and bend the rear subframe. It's back and faster than before.
I'm sure more videos and pics will surface soon once the track season begins again in a few weeks.
johnnybate 02-01-2008, 11:46 AM awesome swap.
green325ibimmer 02-02-2008, 12:08 AM :eek2
ellomdian 02-03-2008, 06:10 AM I'd love to see an interior shot - judging by that engine placement - he's got the back of the intake manifold where the CD player usually goes :p
bigbeansm3 02-03-2008, 10:44 AM Thats one of the most involved swaps i've seen. Props to "civette"

He has a ton of pics in his thread, and a few that are of the interior. If you're just too lazy I MIGHT find them myself and host it for ya:rolleyes
:stickoutt
Have fun w/ spark plugs on that car ;)

Yeah, no kiddin
he'll have to drop the whole chassis to get to anything :(
325bob 02-03-2008, 10:42 PM Gotta wonder what rear is in it, and rear suspension? Major engineering required. Woulda been easier to put a civic shell on a cut down vette frame.

That's exactly what he did. You should read the thread, it's really interesting

Yeah most of the questions and comments in this thread are already adressed and dicussed in the original.
That's 100% JDM YO! :buttrock
Seriously, that's the coolest Civic ever made. If anyone doubts his sanity after making that LS1 powered Civic, he should just remember this (http://vorshlag.smugmug.com/photos/239634108-L.jpg).
umcool911ok 02-04-2008, 05:51 PM Seen this in person in Nashville a few times. Very fast car.
Ran a 12 flat.
Seen at some of the car meets.
Its for sale as far as I know for like 3,000$

Yep, just like the E46 M3 one of the guys at the office has ... aft 3 cyls are not visible under the cowl ... aft heater hoses mean an engine drop when they leak ...
Dymecaker305 02-05-2008, 02:51 AM strange....I didn't hear him go vtec ???? :(

I'm pretty sure it's a C5 rolling drivetrain with the front and rear subframes.
So it's basically a vette wearing honda skin.
I think he even used the vette dash

Rangeball 02-08-2008, 10:32 AM That was a very cool build. Take a look at this too.
