My understanding, NY adopted CARB fully or partially, I dunno - just asking.

1. would i need to use stock oem exhaust/components ?
2. what is the process to get it legit?

I'm new to Beemers but have been into LT1 based vehicles for a while. This looks like an ultimate daily driver/track setup.

If anyone can help out with those questions I'd appreciate, don't wanna call the vorschlag guys and waste their bandwidth till I have all the pieces to the puzzle. Like

1. zero-in on a nice 92-95 e36 (not sure which model but I like the 2 door)
2. source long block and trans from car-part.com

Grab a e36 before 96 and your all set in nys, are ls6 supercharged m3 is a 1995 and has passed nys inspection, just make sure you have cats.
