the closest person i know is @3hrs from there. My next choice is 6hrs.

You might have to just fly up and buy it..

Me and my brother have done that in the past.

Yeap... did that with my son's E30. This time thought, I must inspect the car before hand due to a few current issues with the car.

Worst case scenario I will be searching online for a local mechanic and hope he is good and trust he is not friend's of the seller... :)

Springfield, MO folks might be able to help.....
I don't know of any shops in the Joplin area; however, if you can't find a local and can convince the seller to go about an hour away - Springfield is home to an excellent shop - Import Specialists....

Thanks... do you live in Springfield? Perhaps you can help me also once the car is in Springfield?

Do you know how much is 1 hour of labor with that mechanic... better yet, do you know how much does he charges for a through-out inspection? Perhaps I can call him... do you have a phone number?

THANK YOU GUYS... it seems that I am getting somewhere. I knew I could count on BF.com.

Hmmm... any one else? in case the current owner is not willing to drive the car for an hour...

Fantastic... emailing right now!
By the way, is he a BMW friend... I mean, is he familiar with E36's?

EDIT:
While I wait for his reply, if anyone else can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Hit up darkschnitzer in teh e34 section.

His name is Vinny, you could find him easily by searching Vinny in the e34 section. He lives in Springfield and would be someone I would have look at a car for me in that area.

Thanks for your time... (searching right now!)

I hope he is willing to help as I never received an answer from the other offer. The car is still available so I still have a chance!
