I asked the seller about this vehicle. Salvage title.

What's the significance of salvage title? Each case is unique. To be considered ST, a car could be stolen correct? It could have had a very minor bender... If the car checks out for a good mech, I ask again, what's the significance...really?

salvage means something has happend to the car that required repair which exceeded a percentage of the cars worth, it something like 35-50% i think...

to get a salvage, a car can be stolen, wrecked, flooded, all that good stuff. depending on the car and price, a salvage isnt that bad,

such as a type r integra, they are all nearly salvage due to theft, and if you can get one of those cheap becuase of the theft salvage...then i see nothing wrong with it, i however would never buy a car that is salveged due to a accident.

salvage = poor resale value no matter why its salvaged. If you plan on driving the car forever then its not a big deal, but I always plan on selling after I get bored (like a year later) so you better get one hell of a deal on a salvage so you can sell it and break even.

salvage is nothing bad and i have seen cars that had a messed up fender, hood and a headlight and they were assigned a salvage titile so you have to first find out what was wroung with the car and then make your decisions.

I know one insurance company for certain waits until the damage is about 80% until they declare a salvage. I have heard that when a salvage title car is damaged again, that the option to buy back is not given. I have also heard that some insurance comapnies will not insure ST cars.

I have a salvaged title and it is cause state farm's computer gave it to me on accident. They just sent me a letter saying you f-ed and were sorry. Luckilly it happened to alot of people and we got a class action lawsuit that ended with some cash for me.

After seeing this top gear video it made me think twice about buying a salvage car --
