If you're selling off all your cars - what's going on with that e30? Are you parting with the mods? I remember you talking to me about a set of 16" Ronal LS's that i'd reallllyyyy be interested in. Get back to me with your thoughts :wave

Keeping the Mustang, E30 and the M3. Selling the F250, Jeep GC, Audi, and E36 325. I already have an appointment on Sunday at Williamdesignworks to get some custom white vinyl work done. My lowering kit will be here next week too. I guess keeping it stock won't be lasting too long...

The interior is meh, but how fast are those things? Would be a decent, albeit gas-guzzling, DD if they're quick.

My 230k mile 1995 Integra LS is exciting enough... blocking traffic that is. :lol

I hate driving my Denali around when I have to.

I never said it had to be exciting. SUVs just suck to drive.

Why not get a wagon with some grunt? e39 540iT? Project e34 5**iT?
Im trying to find the pic of the spec-e30 car being towed by the e30 s52 wagon :az

Alex Shchipkov tows his DSP E30 325 using an e30 wagon that I believe has an S50/S52 in it. Can't find any pics of the wagon on the web

Not a Cayenne Turbo or X5 4.8. :buttrock

They have their pluses. Sure they aren't exciting to drive in the city but at 5mph or stop and go traffic what is? They typically have a fairly plush ride, they're very quite and comfortable. I certainly don't mind driving mine to work everyday. Especially when someone dings me or leaves a mark on my bumper, I could careless as it's a beater.

I'd feel quite differently if the VW where dinged or damaged in the same manner. The real downside is fuel economy.

The best SUV still sucks to drive compared to a just average car.

I'd take a 540i wagon over either of those beasts.

I wouldn't. Have you driven an X5? Supposedly they are uncannily car-like. I still have yet to drive one, but I've heard this from a TON of owners. And the X5 4.8i is pretty darn quick. Cayenne Turbo is even faster... those things are just kind of ugly, though.

I agree, though, E39 540iTs are awesome. It's just a shame they only brought them over to the States with an autotragic.

See -- getting older forces you to re-prioritize. Driving a manual in this traffic congestion becomes more of a hassle. I-66, even on the weekends, becomes a parking lot.

SUV's are nice and I liked my X5 with sport. Handled really well. However, it sucked gas -- around $65+ per fillup, easily. I averaged about 17 mpg in mixed driving. I really like the way the new tahoe looks - interior and exterior.

The touring is also nice that I had. I bet I had more cargo room in the touring than in the X5. X5's cargo capacity is pathetic. I know Wonger's Denali is very nice and has a crapload of room.

Congrats on purchase ...

If I drove the X5 like you drive the M3, I am fairly certain I would be getting around 14-15 easily. The V8 engine sucks gas with the X5's weight. I looked at the Cayenne S before getting the X5; but, most of those owners were getting around 12 mpg.

You don't have to get an SUV to get an automatic trans.

Very true; I was just referring to the comment where someone said get a touring that is manual would be ultimate. More than 1/2 of my cars are now automatic.
