View Full Version : Racers and Tuners in the UAE
zparker 01-30-2008, 05:27 AM I just want to let the Bimmerforum guys in the UAE that I am now working with a Performance Garage located in Sharjah UAE on the border of Dubai off Emirates Road. These guys are good people, do good work, have many years of hands on experience and are fair. The owner has a 90's 300ZX with a Skyline 3.2 engine that boosts 2.8 bar. Engine is ballanced to 15k, driveshaft to 13k. Rev cut at 11k.
Shop is clean and is Air conditioned. They do full fabrication of roll cages, and have to tools to do just about any job. They have been tuning MoTec for around 5 years and and are good people with a guy who has tuned every unit MoTec ever built. If you are into Rally, Offroad, Track, Drag or street racing, they can get you taken care of. They have done things you could not even imagine....
Suspension, Tuning, Exhaust systems and Roll cages.
We will do you right. Check back soon for the link to the website.
Shop name is "Under Pressure Garage"
Hope this helps for those who cant find a good shop in UAE.
:)
zparker 02-13-2008, 02:25 AM Website for this shop is just released, underpressuregarage (http://www.underpressuregarage.com) . It is still being setup but it is running. Just wait for the project sections to fill up. My car is one of the projects that is being featured. I am a partner in the company, so contact me for service and mods and I will give bimmerforums and bmw club uae members a nice discount. We are going to be able to do the Valve clearance shim job soon. We are able to get the shims made to spec and should be able to do this very cost effectivly for you guys...I need it done as well...

zparker 03-06-2008, 02:29 AM Garage number is 06 535 5187
It is at the national paints roundabout in Sharjah.
Ask for Kutaiba AKA...Kuta-moto! Tell him I sent you
zparker 03-06-2008, 02:37 AM We just got a viper gts in, engine came in 5 boxes in peices. He just laughed and said, we will fix it no problem....he is trying to get his brother to twin turbo it and quit changing his mind, but Akhmed keeps saying no, next project, next project...lol
fordmondeo33 03-06-2008, 07:03 AM hii,
my car is a ford mondeo, acually im planning to order some parts from UK, the thing is a need someone to fit them, anyways what i would like to order is a throttle body kit from "weber alpha" in UK. i need a proffesional advice regarding instalments and ECU remapping, and i think since u guys work on V8 cars, then my car would be a peice of cake, wont it? i would like to pass by your garage n see what u guys can do for me?
thankxx
zparker 03-07-2008, 05:21 PM Thanks for coming by. Kutaiba told me we will take care of you for the installation and tuning.
By the way what did you think about the garage?
talal 03-10-2008, 06:50 AM Thanks for coming by. Kutaiba told me we will take care of you for the installation and tuning.
By the way what did you think about the garage?
next time i visit uae i will tell you my opinion with the grage
by the way
can you make turbo kit for my mz3?
zparker 03-10-2008, 08:45 AM Of course we can make one. But we havent even finished the prototype and people are standing in line. I still have to fine tune the turbo selection so that it is matched to the engine for earliest spool and a nice shove in the backside all the way to redline. I already have a vendor in the UK interested in RHD versions. MZ3 would be a nice kit to see as well, and should be fairly similar to the E36 M3 build. I have to make another design for a 330ci as well.
One thing though, I am not going to rush this to be completed, I will not put crap work out, and when its finished I will show dyno charts before and after.
Its not all about the money, seeing people grinning from ear to ear makes me much happier, because with happy customers you get more customers and with more customers you will still make money. That is the reason i started with these guys, they beleive in good work and customer satisfaction. Rare for people these days.
As for the BMW UAE guys. We are ordering the tools for the Valve seat adjustments tonight. We are also have ordered the can depressor and the vanos tool set. A few other things as well. We also have purchased BMW TIS, so we will have all the same resources the dealership has for their techs.
fordmondeo33 03-17-2008, 12:08 PM Thanks for coming by. Kutaiba told me we will take care of you for the installation and tuning.
By the way what did you think about the garage?
thankx man (i have ordereed the parts), ur garage is soo coool!!, i liked the atmosphere!, soo much better than the dusty& rusty garages here in UAE.
but one note u need MORE SPACE!!
zparker 03-17-2008, 02:28 PM that seems to be the common statement....more space...It is on back-order just waiting for the lease to run out of the spaces next to us and we are planning to take over the entire warehouse strip.
zparker 03-17-2008, 02:50 PM We are also planning a alternative to NOS. Methanol kit for N/A cars for those of you who do not wish to risk boosting the high compression BMW engines. Kit will run off Motec management and run staged injection using 6 extra injectors for the methanol. You will have the benifit of expert tune, and when you spray the methanol at least 100 more hp to the ground. So if you gain 50hp from the Motec tune alone, add the methanol on top of that, you cant turn your nose up at that. The big bennifit to this is that you do not have to worry about melting your pistons. I will post final figures as soon as completed.

that would be great!!!
Hey Z,
I have an Estoril E36 SMG, need to pass by soon, have some oil leaking from the back of the engine just where the Transmission meets.. is this a job you wouldn't mind doing? would understand if it's not really, just needed to find out if I can say goodbye to Tony Edwards for good, I've had it!!!

Welcome to BF.com
the leak from the back side of the engine would be from two places....either from the internal seal inside the gearbox (not that possible) or the back seal just between the engine (block) and the flywheel (most probably as there is a big seal there). This would need the removal of the gear box to replace either seals.
Underpressure garage is a great place, trust worthy ppl who do their job out of passion. Zach will chim in soon and hopefully ull see how freindly those guys r :alright.
We have our BMW CLUB of UAE if you are interested in joining us. We have alot of events going on and we do have alot of racing events :buttrock.
zparker 03-23-2008, 02:49 AM Sounds like a rear main seal....Like he said it is most likely not an issue with transmission seal, but just as a question, is the leak; black, red or green fluid with a sweet smell?
Black - rear main seal
Red - atf which is what is used as gear oil on bmw manuals
green - chf-11s smg fluid
Pulling a transmission is not an issue and i just made them buy the inveted torx set of sockets for doing the transmission. Working on a z3 coupe 2.8 last night and just grew a list of tools needed....
Come on by and we can take a look and get an idea of what is going on.
8am-1 and 3-10 pm I am generally there after 6pm. So best time would be when i am there.
Thats funny what you said about tony edwards...I have heard that a bit from different people over the past year...that and they jacked up the price of a car after i said i liked it...over 30,000aed
zparker 04-07-2008, 03:06 AM Dude do you stay in the marina? I just saw one identical to mine a few nights ago parked roadside in the maring by the 1st light with the bridge under construction.
zparker 04-07-2008, 03:07 AM I have finished the Motec installation on the M3, using the cam control option the vanos is now controlled by Motec. Tuning is scheduled this week. SMG still engauges with the DME only seeing the Crank signal. Will have the install pics once totally finished. And of course some videos of the tuning and test drives.
zparker 05-12-2008, 04:47 AM New video posted on you tube of the Nissan patrol just finished. Some of you have been to the shop and saw this beast torn apart, now its finished and makin some serious power.
