Your detail job looks amazing.

What's the point of the Nano polish after the Super Intensive polish? Is the SI more abrasive and the Nano is a step down? I'm not familiar with the Menzerna line of products yet. I saw that you still used Klasse AIO at the end and I wasn't sure how similiar that is to the Nano polish.

Not to beat the OP on the answer but I've found that SIP cleans up perfectly with the less abrasive and finer work of the 106FF. It's an extremely good 1 - 2 combo (as evidenced by that gorgeous M3!).

Beautiful work Mr. Petrucci and congrats!!!

I should of skipped the AIO. I used it as a paint cleaner. But SIP sometimes leaves a fuzzy or hazy finish and thats why I had to use nano on it. It basically gives the paint more clarity and cleans up the finish more nicely for a LSP.

Was that done by hand or did you have to use a buffer?

My car is red and you can see the swirls even after a fresh wax..

Id really love to do that to my car!

I used a ultimate detailing machine, waxing won't get rid of swirls.

You have to use a compound and a polish with a PC or rotary to get swirls out.

Wow nice job

I am going to attempt my first detail in a couple of weeks. Most of the products I planned on using, you used. If you do not mind I have a couple of questions.

My M3 is dark blue and the swirls are not as bad as yours was before. I had planned on using Menzerna IP and SIP. After seeing your results I will use the Nano. Do you recommend I use all 3 or maybe just the IP and NP?

I had planned on using Klasse Sealant Glaze, why do you prefer the AIO?

I have seen on some of these posts good things about the Klasse QD, do you use any QD?

I would guess the PB World Nattys Paste Wax (blue) would be fine on a dark blue car?

I am hoping my 02 looks half as good as yours.

Thanks

Hey man,

I'm actually in the middle of doing a detail on my dad's 325i Orient Blue.

I like the combination of the SIP/106ff it seems to work well with what work I'm doing.

If you don't have the SIP and just have the IP use that then follow it by the Nano (106ff) because the IP and SIP are more abrasive and may leave a haze on darker cars. The nano will finish it up and make it look more even and glossy.

I'm not using an AIO this time. I was reading on the autogeek forum about using the Klasse as a paint cleaner and thats the reason why I chose to use it. But the paint on the two cars are fine and don't need it. So I'm skipping it.

QD as in quick detailer?

Yeah I'm going to use the Natty's on my dads car and it should be awesome but I know that it won't last. That's the only downside about that wax.

I'll post a new thread either tonight or tomorrow when I finish up.
