i have been offered a 118 that was in a house fire, the only real damage to the car was melted door handles, some slightly melted interior and the paint is all stuffed. the engine gearbox and everything else seams to be fine. I'm going in to check the ECU and wiring harness before i commit to it. i just wanted to know if anyone could think if it was something that actually could be done or not. all comments welcome, good or bad.

if i get it i will be taking almost 2 weeks of work to do it. so i am prepared for it to be a massive job.

looks fun... what are your estimated power gains with the newer 1.8l motor?

the new motor i think is 2L, i really dont know. according to wikipedia the engine puts out 110kw out of the engine, so maybe 150kw at the wheels after the turbo and computer tune. i wont know for a while yet tho becuase the new engine has only done 8,000ks so it still isn't completely run it yet so i'm not going to run anything crazy through it. im thinking that i will only run really small boost like 4psi untill the engine is run in, then when i get to 10,000ks i will bring it up to 8-9psi and see how i go.

i would like 150kw, i dont think i will get any more then that without getting new pistons and lowering compression .ect

thanks for the interest.
