I am coming down to VA for import Xpression in DULLES EXPO on Mat 10th anyone else going?
Let me know. My car will be in the show. With another team member of Eurowerkz. I will be in Springfield from Tuesday 5/6 till 5/12.

Pat said he'll work on Saturday's AND Sunday's to get my car done. How's that for service.

I'm sure Huy will show along with Cabby and those guys from East Coast BMW. Since it's indoors, we should not have to worry about the rain.

Also, Megan's co-worker is having a car wash that same day at the gas station right next to the Dulles Expo Center. This friend is a cheerleader for the semi-pro football team, the Virginia Monarchs, and they are doing a fundraiser. I don't know what these girls look like, so don't go getting all excited. I'm just saying you have people there to wash your cars that same day if you are feeling lazy. ;)

Alright, Megan and I are all registered. But, only Megan got a confirmation email. Hmm...I hope I can still get in.

Oh damn. I thought you posted somewhere that we should go ahead and register. My bad. Ok, well I know for a fact that you can register the day of the event (Saturday). You just have to get there very early at the crack of dawn. You can also just register by going to www.importxpression.com and then click the "register" button under the Dulles Expo Show. From there, you just fill out the form and then you end up either PayPal-ing the fee or using a credit card to complete the process.

I don't think you need to enter any affiliation of club. I left it blank. I am certain we will be able to park together if we all show up together. Tommy is cool like that. Right, Tommy?

That being said, if you can pre-register, you will have one less headache to worry about because the line to register on the day of the event can sometimes get backed up and you want enough time to detail your car.

Sorry for the mix-up, guys. I'll buy you beer.

When you guys register, for team or crew I put "Phillip [insert last name]'s crew." This way hopefully they will group us together.

P.S. -- it does not matter if the car is show-worthy in your opinion or not, I probably will roll in their with my black rims and snow tires ...

Etc... I think it would be nice to have a strong showing of BMW's at the show: PERIOD.

Preppy, you car is better than some of the other cars I've seen showing. It will look more impressive with all the BMW's together.

I will talk to Tommy and make sure we can all park together. I am sure it should not be a problem (unless something crazy happens) if we all can show up together or meet up outside before the gates open and roll in together.

Yeah, just tell him to put us next to the cars with the bondo and mismatched body panels on each side. We'll be right in the middle and it will make us look that much better :D

I would just tell him to group ANY and all BMW's together that register for the show ... why not, I don't think any of the bmw owners hate each other ... :dunno

If you've never been to Dulles Expo center, let me tell you that it's situated in this industrial park area/shopping center and there is a HUGE parking lot where we could easily meet up beforehand. There's also an Applebee's, Wendy's, Arby's, Burger King, and Holiday Inn Express located in that same shopping center. I bet we could easily meet up right in front of the Expo Center with no problems. The lots are huge.

Ok, someone give me directions and I'll be there :)

It's pretty simply, actually. It's the same directions as if you were headed to BMW of Sterling, except you don't go as far on RT 28.

From MD, take I-495 towards Tysons.
Then take I-66 West towards Front Royal.
Take the RT 28 North exit towards Dulles Airport.
Look for the Dulles Expo Center on the right. There will be a fast food shopping center/plaza. You can see Applebee's from RT 28. There's a traffic light @ WILLARD RD. Make a right at that light and go all the way back.
You can't miss it. Well, if you miss it, you will see it from RT 28 as you pass it. :D Just make a U-ey and come back to the traffic light. If you pass the RT 50 Exit, you've gone too far!

If I've confused you, go to the Import Xpressions website www.importxpressions.com and print the directions from there or try www.mapquest.com.

Remember if this show is indoors u will have to have less then 1/3 gas in your tank.. That's how it was when i had my car @ HIN..

Screw that, dude. I can't roll in the night before. That's for the die-hard show-ponies that have to clean their shit extra well. I'm gonna show up when the doors open the next day (8-9am I think) and just start cleaning then.

That's what I was thinking. Just meet up in the lot before gates open and then roll into the building at the same time so that they put us all together. It should be no problem. Bring a fold up chair if you have one.

I already know the car show drill. We went through it last year. We can roll in on Saturday. You just need to get there early enough to set up and detail your ride. You'll need a fold up chair to rest your ass because it'll get tired standing for 8 hours.

You can get one at AutoZone or Pep Boys or some other auto place. It's just this plastic tube with a pump kind of like a keg tapper. Or, you could just bring your own tube and bucket and just do it the old-fahioned way and just suck on the tube and let the gas flow into a bucket.

Hmm, a cut garden hose and gas pail should do the trick...

....just make sure you don't drink TOO much of that gasoline ;)
