Goathumper 02-15-2008, 12:11 PM yes bmwpower 02-15-2008, 12:20 PM yes gotcha...thx slocar 02-15-2008, 01:17 PM it also controls the interior lights: the whole deal how they fade out and crap after they come on when you pull the door handle etc. bmwpower 02-15-2008, 01:21 PM it also controls the interior lights: the whole deal how they fade out and crap after they come on when you pull the door handle etc. Seriously? I was hoping someone would say this. Seems to be conflicting info on this. I'm having issues with these on my car: Driver's fog light - never worked Low beams - really NOT bright at all Visor lights - never worked Map lights - never worked ...and now I'm having issues with the license plate lights Yes, I've replaced the bulbs to no avail Just wondering if all this crap is pointing to the LKM. Dim Low Beams & inop fog light: I'd look for a bad ground up front or a poor connection. Visor lights: check the contacts on the visor clip. There's a metal part on the inside of the curved part that connects the circuit when they are folded down. It may be the clips, or the slider thingy that covers the mirror, but I highly suspect the clip. If you fold down the visor, open the mirror slider and push the visor into the clip, you may get light... that's what i've discovered on a few older BMWs. Good luck! zener 02-15-2008, 03:05 PM Have you tried to resolder the LKM? It's 5minute job, so I would start with that. strayts 02-15-2008, 03:11 PM Have you tried to resolder the LKM?
