View Full Version : Paint Chips what to do? Erick 01-29-2008, 12:31 AM So i suck with anything with paint any advice? none for you 01-29-2008, 12:45 AM OK, do not eat them... Sorry, I just had to... I always filled them in with touch up paint. If the depression is deep enough, it takes several coats. I have had to thin the paint from time to time. I have also had to thicken it by leaving the bottle in the sun with the cap off. Does that help at all? Erick 01-29-2008, 12:49 AM kind of did you get your touch up paint from the stealership? 525fourthew1n 01-29-2008, 01:10 AM http://www.paintscratch.com/ (http://www.paintscratch.com/)You can order paint specifically matched to the car. I haven't ordered any yet, but a good friend of mine has used them for paint for his beautiful metallic green Volvo 944T. zubbie 01-29-2008, 08:21 AM Bavauto has oem touchup kits for your car I believe mainebimmer 01-29-2008, 10:32 AM Bavauto has oem touchup kits for your car I believe affirmative. they are about $15 i believe. It's not a lot of paint, about a gluestick size bottle with a tube of clear coat the same size. i've used it with decent results. VWguyBruce 01-29-2008, 11:09 AM I bought my touch up paint from Paint Scratch because I bought some aerosols at the same time. BMW tubes should match well enough for chips if you car hasn't been painted too many times. You'll have enough stuff to do touch up on every car you own for the rest of your life, or go into business.
