So, I've got to take a mandatory vacation over to the sand box during my next deployment and I'm going to use a trickle charger for the 6+ months I'm gone.
I called my SA and asked about it and he said there is switch/interlock that needs to be pulled to put the car to sleep while the hood is open. He said it was on the right or left side near the firewall and is hard to find. Well, he wasn't lying, can't find anything that's close to a switch or interlock.

Does anyone know where it is, or even if it exists?

Thanks

BTW, it's on a 2008 335i coupe

The car probably won't sleep if there's a charger on it. The switch (s19a) is on the driver's side, in front of the microfilter housing.

Thanks, but I went out and checked and there is a small device in the same spot, but it's not a switch. ????

I don't think our cars come with hood switch. The only time you will see a hood switch is when you have the alarm system installed. Someone please confirm and verify for me. Thanks.
