Ok let me see if I can get this thing together..All BMW/mini mega meet in philly this spring(ie) now. Couple of ideas for time and locations.

1. VACmotorsports.com huge vacant lot across the street 25th & synder any given sat or sun . That way even if Simeons car is'nt running we can still all see it.
2. Tony Lukes resturant in south philly front & Oregon FRI or SAT night. Great food especially the rice ...HAHAHAHHA
3. West river drive sat or sunday afternoon near lemon hill lots of open space not to get sweated.

I just seem to see all these other BMW meets around and can't recall seeing the philly area represented.

Sounds interesting. Which of the River drives is closed for Recreational Activity every Sat and Sun, again??

The west river drive is closed but the east river or kelly drive has great parks in it that would accomadate 100's of cars and BBQ /pinnicing bimmerheads

I'd be up for it as long as I don't have an exam the following week. I've been wanting to find some nice driving roads around here and it'd be nice to explore with some fellow bimmerheads.:cool:

Let's talk dates...

So . . . there hasn't much activity on this subject, but I guess I'm as much to blame as anyone else. Anyway, regarding dates, the following weekends are NOT good for me: May 10-11, May 17-18, June 21-22. The other weekends should be free, but I can never be sure with this med. school thing. Let me know what you guys think. I really want to find some better driving routes, the highway is getting really old.

I would love to have a good Philly meet(the last good one was at KOP last fall), and there havent been any in the area yet this year. Im sure there would be some people from around here that want to get a meet together, Ill contact them and see what they think.

Yo, wyn525i your stationed on the base? I work off horsham road in one of the buildings on the golf course.

I asked VAC to host an open house and Tony mentioned it that in the Fall/ Sept. would be best. Race Season ends, kinda, and they will have more time to give us attention.

I want to see the V8 build ups they do, I'm going to get mine built there for a particular application.

I'd love to come up to party in Philly. That brewery there is awesome and serves excellent food from what the guys at Helix 13 tell me.

What brewery Independance? Philly lager?

I think we need a Philly Bimmer BBQ. With no rice:)

Bmw's beef and beer could be nice in fairmount park...I don't have a grill but I know where we could get the meat cheap

How bout setting something up in Manayunk sometime? Granted I'm new here, but the brewery has a decent deck. Parking is somewhat constrained, but there is enough tail to go around there on the weekends...

cne.. Yep Im stationed on the base, and know all those roads by the golf course, always had fun over there when it snowed out(RWD+snow tires = :buttrock )

I got tony lukes a little late about 10:40 and must have missed you.
I was on front,Island,ect.. until about 12:00.
then hit filo's for a few beers after.
the only bimmer i saw was that cream E46 M3 that is alway there.

How about a beef and beer at FDR Park they have big area and grills there. Also I heave grill scraper and stuff of that sort. Think about it and post some replies!
