Post stories here that are testaments to your dedication to your beloved e39.

I hadnt eaten all day, decided to get some mexican food at around 230pm. Nachos supreme from a local taqueria, delicious. I watched tv while I ate and relaxed. Then all of a sudden it was 345. Its pretty nice out, who knows when Ill get another chance to wash my car! So out I run, realizing as I walk out the door that the mexican food didnt quite sit right , but there was nothing I could do, the sun would be setting and it would be too cold by then. I rush over to napa, which of course is closed on sundays. Then I hit it over to car quest and grab armorall tire stuff, a bag of rags and a nice shammy. Long story short, I clenched my way through washing my car at the self wash and drying it completely. I love my car.

funny tidbits:

-As I was finally drying the trunk lid, everything else was done, I noticed my brand new 15$ shammy was streaking. I was really confused, left it alone then went to armorall the tires. I come back to it and try to dry it again, but this time I realize whats happening... the waters freezing and now its balling up into little snow flakes. All the washing booths still had people desperately washing their cars, and there was a line of about half a dozen cars behind them. :lol

-When I finally made it home, my sister was in the bathroom. :mad

I put in an M3 shifter, removed my CDV, and put in some Synchromax on my snow covered driveway the night the parts arrived when it was 15º out.

I did the 4 hour sunroof fix yesterday outside as I was watching a MEAN storm rolling in over the Pacific ocean.
I just finished up getting it aligned, tilted up the sunroof, took a few pictures, dropped it shut (with a satisfying thump, and perfect alignment), and the rain hit.
I just couldn't bear to see that misaligned top for one more day.
I did get wet putting the tools away....
