View Full Version : FS: 2002 M Coupe with Dinan S2
Blacksport350 01-26-2008, 04:36 PM I am selling my extremely rare serial numbered Dinan S2 2002 S54 M Coupe in Steel Gray over Black with 26,500 miles. This beast produces 355BHP and is a load of fun to drive. It has the Dinan Stage 3 suspension, Stage 4 engine package with software, throttle bodies, air intake, exhaust, strut brace and floor mats. In addition to this, the car has all the nice “Leather Z” interior parts, including the Euro interior chrome bits, footwell lighting kit, leather covering on the interior hatch panel, and other misc leather bits. Other parts include Ireland Engineering subframe bushings and upper shock mounts, BMW Motorsport aluminum pedals and dead pedal adapted to fit, Sport Mode is enabled and controlled by a factory button in a factory location on the dash, carbon fiber valve cover, Valentine One hardwire, window tint, 3M clear-bra, rare AC Schnitzer roof wing and front spoiler extensions, 3.73:1 limited slip differential, and plenty of things that I have forgotten. The car also has plenty of extended warranty coverage that is transferable to the new owner and I also believe it still some of the factory 6year/100K mile engine warranty left. All of the mods were performed around 14K miles and this car has never been raced, auto-crossed, or tracked, has been enthusiast owned, and has been properly maintained. Also included is a second set of factory wheels, and the following that are new and never installed: Euro floating rotors and pads for the front, braided clutch line with no restrictor, Dian floor mats, and a couple of other parts. The car is in good condition and has never been damaged or wrecked. All she needs is another caring home! I am asking $36k/best. Please email or PM for photos/more info if you are serious. Here is a link to a tread with some pics and report from a forum member that looked at it last month before it was officially up for sale:

damn. I thought I had a nice specimen. Very fair price for a very desirable car.
ohnoes 01-26-2008, 05:07 PM Damn, what an awesome car. GLWS. One question, though: how is the car producing 377 BHP when the M Coupe S54 produces 315 HP (less than the 333 in the E46 M3) stock, with just software, throttle bodies, intake, and exhaust? That's approximately a 60 HP gain from a few very simple mods.

You know, Dinan was quoting 377 when I built the car on their dyno graph. I just looked and now they are quoting 355 so I changed it to that. Who knows why but they are all just numbers.
The throttle bodies made a large difference along with the intake and software, the exhaust made little difference and the differential made a huge difference. As a package, it is perfect. As pointed out above, the higher redline takes it to 333 so it isn't unrealistic to expect another 44 from an exhaust, intake, and bored throttle bodies.

I don't think the m coupe actually makes less power than the m3.

Beautiful Coupe.
I'm glad you're not local or I'd be calling you to set up an appointment to check it out... most likely would be light $36k on the way home.
Cheers.

They have a different exhaust which restricts power.

Buildscharacter 02-14-2008, 01:43 PM That car is pure sex...wish I made about $20k more a year and I'd be all over it. GL with the sale.
pbclax423 02-14-2008, 01:55 PM yes they are different exhaust, which is the reason why the hp was quoted so high. Take off a restrictive exhause and put on a performance one.. .you gain the normal power loss from restrictions and the performance power from the upgrade.
plus the throttle bodies and the software make a large difference as well...
