Whats up guys
Im driving a 2000 bmw 540i, nav unit 3:4 but upgrading to 16:9 soon, 6 cd changer.
Would like to know if there is any way to wire a dvd unit to watch dvds on the nav monitor, and intergrate a sirius stilletto 2 (which has lots of space for songs to be stroed so no need for an ipod). I wont be installing a back up camera I would like to have control of everything using the stock radio buttons and if possible the steering buttons. Ive also seen that with some products you can control the dvd with radio buttons as well, and other products which allow a split screen dvd and navmap. I enjoy the stock look so hopefully keep evereything hidden (sirius). Im not sure which units to use or if there is one unit that can accoplish all of these goals. I know theres lots of threads out there on this subject, Ive read alot of them but not sure which unit will be best. Get back to me with any info anyone might have.

Nothing available on the market will do this yet, but we are almost completed with a video interface that will allow for this. A seperate DVD player will be mounted in the vehicle (or trunk) and can be controlled via the steering wheel buttons like OEM. You can either play DVDs, A/V or media through a USB port on the player in most popular formats.

Further testing is needed, but we'll be releasing a kit very soon. You'll need a 16:9 screen and newer radio tuner (BM53) in order to take advantage of the kit when released.

Can't give an estimate until testing is completed, this will determine what pieces are are needed and overall cost.

Feel free to check back in about 30 days for an update. :)
