I've a 528iT with Xenon lighting and notice my left headlight "shakes" when I hit bumps in the road at night.

I had the hood up so I looked at the back of the lense housing. I can move easily the bulb holder. The right side, although I can move it, is much more firm in place.

Anyone know why or what can be done short of new assembly?
Thanks

I had the same problem and for a quick fix I put a 1/2" automotive hose under the assembly and it works great now. Looking at upgrading everything soon.

E39's are notorious for having headlight adjusters fail. new ones can be purchased at your dealer parts desk. they are about $15.00 a headlight.
