A friend of mine at work who has a 5 series was telling me that he read somewhere that there may be a new interior in the works for the 2009 -2010 335i.

Has anyone else heard anything that supports this?

Probably, considering the Life Cycle Impulse should be due around that time.

what were his sources? There are many rumor sites out there, but not all are trustworthy. There is a facelift I believe for 2009 MY but not sure about interior. And I'd guess it would apply to the whole lineup not just the 335.

He said that he read it on a forum, which one I'm not sure, I will try and get some more details.

I read on a forum that sub-frames spontaneously explode when non-run-flat oil coolers are installed backwards.

The car will be freshened but the interior won't be "all new" by any means. I'd expect to see the electronic shifter and the center console redesigned.

I don't have anything to back this up, but you're probably right. Unless they see it as a luxury item and want to keep it in 5's and X5's only.

Hopefully they will find room in the dash for a 6-disc CD changer instead of the single disc, the radio display will be viewable with polarized sunglasses and the navi screen will be a pop-up like in the 1-series.
