Hey eveyone... :help

I had a question. Basically the car is slowly being upgraded piece by piece for the eventual final plan of doing a TT stg 2 or something of the sort...

I need a clutch right now, but don't want to spend money and buy a stock clutch, get it installed, and then in a year need to buy ANOTHER clutch, and have that installed for the upgrade.

Is it "ok" per say to buy an upgraded clutch for turbo, say somethat that will hold 500-550hp in case of eventual upgrade and use it on an otherwise stock motor right now?

I didn't know if there were any negative effect from not having enough power or anything of the sort so I figured I would ask ahead of time...

Id rather spend 1300 on an fx700 now (even though that clutch is probably a little overboard for my particular needs) or something of the like, i have to look into which clutches you guys use on this kinda powe setup.... i will SEARCH, since apparently nobody knows what that is anymore, but to cut to the chase, instead of spending 400 now and 1300 later for no reason... I prettymuch see it as a waste of money that could be used elsewhere, aka towards necessary brake pads and rotors right now, so would prefer to just go for it now and let it already be broken in and stuff too!!!

Just please chime in because I plan on purchasing something over the weekend... thanks!!!

It will work the same, the only tradeoff to upgrading now is that you'll have to deal with the extra heaviness and harshness. The clutch will feel the same on a turbo car as a stock one, and this way you will have some time to get used to it before going for MO POWA

I can't think of any reason not to go with the high-po clutch now, since you need to replace yours anyhow. I plan to do the same thing, with clutch, flywheel, and SS clutch line.
