Looking for a tire recommendation for a 2005 3.0i X3. Have Pirelli Scorpions on it now, but they flat spot, have a lot of sidewall flex, and are not known for mileage durability. I am going to replace them this Spring.

I am partial to Michelins, but would like advice on alternatives. Vehicle is used primarily for highway driving in all kinds of conditions (dry, rain, ice, snow, etc.). Little or no off-road use...well, maybe the occasional two track for a few miles.....Smooth ride, speed rating, and comfort are more important than aggressive tread/traction for this ride.
