Would it be hard to drop an S50 or an S52 into an E36 318i or 328i? Are the electronics similar, what needs to be replaced and what can stay? Is this completely unheard of?

Look at my sig. I had a 328 motor. The 328 uses the same transmission as the M3, but the 318. DME has to be swapped too.
