View Full Version : Is my 325i bluetooth compatible?
wzkzlp 01-23-2008, 04:45 PM When I bought my 325i, the deal was so good, and the car drove so well, that there were some questions I forgot to ask...
Namely, is it bluetooth compatible. So now onto the stupid question of the week or maybe even month...
Is there a way to find out if I can use a bluetooth phone in my car w/o buying the phone first...
thekurgan 01-23-2008, 05:25 PM Do you have iDrive?
wzkzlp 01-23-2008, 05:49 PM No... so I guess that is the answer to my question... :|
Driv3r 01-23-2008, 07:11 PM If you hit menu on your radio there should be a phone icon if you have Bluetooth.

+1. It should also be prewired for bluetooth, so you can still get it dealer installed I believe if it is not there. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

One of our moderators deleted it (not me this time) because it was off topic. The forum admins have asked us to clamp down on improper posts. If you have any concerns, please read the Forum Rules and/or contact one of the administrators (Kevlar or MDabney).

idrive has NOTHING to do with having bluetooth.

I'm not the OP, but if you could tell me that would be great.
I don't think I have it but it would be nice if I did, since I just snagged a Blackberry Pearl 8130.

Not sure if this site still works, I can't access it from work, worth trying out:
http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi
Kernel Kurtz 01-24-2008, 07:40 PM That does tell me the model, body and engine type, production date, and that it is left hand drive, but not much else.
Interesting, though. Thanks.

it doesn't look as if this car has BT - but limited info is available as it's a Canadian car.
Kernel Kurtz 01-25-2008, 12:50 AM Oh well, thanks for looking.
It's going in for the oil sensor problem Monday anyway, I guess they would be the people to ask in the first place. It would be nice to have, but not something I'm likely to pay to add-on.
TambourineMan 01-25-2008, 09:29 AM Parrot makes Bluetooth kits for many cars. I don't know how well it would integrate into a BMW, but it's worth looking into. Google it.
