I have 36,000 miles on my leased X3 and need to replace the tires. The dealer told me I should go with the Bridgestone Turanza for 992.00 plus tax, and then 198.00 for allignment. My lease expires in November. Does anyone know if I have to go with their recommend, or can I pursue less expensive options?

you just need tires in the right size and speed rating, not necessarily what the dealer says or what they sell. I run Bridgestones on my X in 19" and they are $125-150 each on tirerack.com and are top rated. I would order them there, drop ship to the shop of your choice, and have them mounted. If its a lease you plan to turn in, forego the alignment unless you are having problems tracking.

You might find this a little easier on your check book.

I'm not sure what it will cost to have them put on BUT I bet it's less than $300.00
Don't forget your $60.00 rebate.
