I am looking at getting a Borla cat back for my 335 Coupe. I know some of you have it already. Does it sound like the E36 M3 or is it more silent??

Borla is a quiet exhaust, but definetely louder and deaper sounding than stock. Also its not a bolt on.You have to do some modding to bolt it up.I believe you have to cut the stock exhaust behind the cats to bolt it up,but i am not positive on that exact spot on the stocker where you have to cut.But you definetely have to cut it somewhere.

My buddy and I were goofing around, he was in his E46, I was in my 335xi. I have the Borla catback and he has the Dinan catback exhaust. Danny is right, the Borla is quiet and deep, but gets kind of mean sounding around 4000 RPM's according to my buddy while driving next to me.
The Dinan system he had sounds raspy and mean at all RPM's, it is a loud system. His car sounds like an angry bee. If you want the raspy race sound, go Dinan, if you want rumbling bass with strong engine note at higher RPM's, go with the Borla.
