A friend is looking to buy a car that spent it's life thus far in the north east. Car only has 33k on the odo, and it's an '04 model. Is corrosion something he should be worried about?

Shouldn't be a problem even if the previous owner drove in the snow. As long as they washed down their car soon after driving on salted roads.

most people here don't drive their m's in the winter.... due to the low mileage, its probably not driven in the winter (like mine isn't). nice and dry and salt free in the garage.

I do. My M3's my daily driver. :(

I wanted to get a Japanese econobox beater but really can't justify the cost right now. It makes me sad to drive my M3 in these conditions, though. It's downright filthy and disgusting and it deserves better.

I dont drive my car in the winter, i dont know why, usually because i just dont feel like washing it after.

But, dont feel bad about it - Its a car, Drive it. Just took a friends brand new audi up to VT- snow, salt, that vt road oil shit all over the car, snowboards in the back. Drive it like your supposed to
