Anyone running a staggered setup on an XI or know what the specs must be?
I know that Audi's quattro and VW's 4motion will do it but there has to be <5% difference in the total circumference between front and rear otherwise they get very unhappy and break things.
Looking at a 245/40/20F and 275/35/20R setup but I have yet to crunch the numbers as I thought I'd ask about the XI aspect first.
Thanks.

I don't know about the staggering, but your new tires would be 10 to 11% larger diameter than stock. I've also read that size changes of more than 5% will cause problems with our cars traction and brake systems.

Cool, thanks.
Seem to have found some answers here:

Larger wheels will certainly have a negative impact on the performance of stock brakes, there's always something to account for...

Yeah going 20 on this car is probably too much. 19s are already more bling than functional. The 18s are more than adequate, but some prefer the looks of the 19s.

True, the same wheel I'm looking at is available as a 19'' so I may go that way... still just thinking it out.

The difference in percentage/size from stock to aftermarket isn't the issue of concern, it's the difference in size from front to rear (stock or aftermarket) that could wreak havoc on the ABS/DSC and transfercase.
