This is all related to a '95 540i automatic....
So...I wrote a while back about a shake that I thought had to do with having the style-5 e39 wheels on an e34. The most common shake is because people haven't put hubcentric-rings on...and get a nasty- "my wheels are going to shake the hell of the car" -shake around 50-55.
WELL...I bought the rings. I went to put them on...and there were some already on there from the previous owner! Sooooo, after spending around an hour with a suspension guy...balancing every tire...and looking for significant wear on the suspension...we still don't know what the shake is from...
The clues: it's in the steering wheel (not in your butt), suggesting it's in the front. Also, it stops when you hit the brakes...or starts to stabalize...
ANY IDEAS? Pleasssse help....
