I have a 2002 m3 without smg. When i push in the clutch in it makes a wineney noise.It goes away when the clutch is let out.what could it be.

How many miles? Sounds like the throwout bearing to me.

most of them make a sound when you put the clutch in quickly at low speed. Mine does it and my dad's 97 m3 does it.

it has 93000 miles on it i belive the clutch has been replaced.

At least with my car, it makes more of a thumping noise in that case, not a whining noise.

If the clutch was properly replaced, you shouldn't be getting a TO bearing noise. Maybe they forgot to replace the throwout bearing? Unlikely, but possible, I suppose. In my experience, though, the whining is almost always caused by the TO bearing.

i am going to replace the throw out bearing, and i am going to do the clutch also.what kind of clutch would you all suggest.
