alright, i recently found a deal with another fellow E34 owner who is selling authentic french high beams for the E34. well hes asking 150 for the lights(just high beams). is it worth it? or should i just go lamin-x some cheap highbeams and call it a day?

i guess its up to man, mine are lamin-xed and I dont see why I would ever need to pay for authentics. plus you have the option to go back to clear with the lamin-x.
it just like the tails, you can smoke em or if you want authenticity, cop the hellas.

yeah or glass paint... I have the feeling a lot of 'authentic' ones are glass painted.
BTW you can still buy the amber lenses from BMW and just swap them into your existing Euro housings.

thanks for the opinions. i'll probably just go do lamin-x. i have to do it on the rest of my lights so i might as well. thanks again!

Maybe this might sound naive, but what's the big deal about having yellow headlights? Is this supposed to improve night vision or something, or is it just the rarity of french e34 headlights that makes them desirable? Someone shed a little light on this for me, I think yellow headlights look kinda goofy, but then again that's france for you...

Both true. Basically its just the new "thing" for euro cars. I forget the true story behind them but somebody will chime in with it.

Are you guys buying the bulk sheets or the precut ones? I want to know how much I should order and if it's harder/better to cut the sheets myself. I want 40mm clear on the lows and yellows for the highs.
