I am brand new to the Bimmer world.
I have found one I like, and I guess i'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it looks like a good deal...

It's a 1998 318ti with the M sport package
All black with 119,500 looks super clean.
The dude wants $5500

Does this sound reasonable?

see if you can lower the price. 119,500 is a lot of milage for $5500. im sure the seller will go lower than that.

Don't pay any more than $5K.

I was looking at the one you are talking about.... looks to be in awesome condition from the ad. The paint looked great in the pictures.

Sounds resonable to me. Talk him down if need be, but if its in excellent condition, thats not too bad.

price sounds about right to me.

unfortunately, the TI holds it's value a little better than the equivilant 318 sedan or Coupe'. In some cases, it holds it value better than the bigger engined cars save for the M cars. So, you might be able to talk him down some, but not much. There were not many cars imported and they are in demand

119k miles isn't that bad. I've seen a lot worse, and a lot better (64K on my 98 when I bought it) Also paid $7,500... For an active package... dont ask..

That's a 10-12 K car here in Canada, milage or not. I've been looking for the last few months and if I can figure transport out I'll be down there buying; Florida most likely
